Pep Talk (Puberty Education Program)
Rubix Support offers an eight week (Pep Talk) Puberty Education Program for young people between the ages of 11-18 years old.
The course includes topics in:
Information will also be provided to the young person’s parent/carer at each session and will run concurrently in another room. This is an important component of the program, ensuring that the parent/carer is able to respond to any questions the young person might have throughout the program and reinforce what is being taught.
A pre knowledge assessment will be completed with the young person to assist the facilitators to tailor information to the young person’s learning needs and place them in an appropriate Pep Talk group.
Following completion of the Pep Talk program, a report will be completed for the NDIS of topics covered, progress attained and remaining learning goals identified for the future.
Our facilitators have substantial experience running individual and group based programs for young people, with a focus on supporting people who may find it difficult to access puberty education in other mainstream settings.
Courses are billed under NDIS areas improved relationships or improved daily living. If you would like to enrol your young person or find out more information on this program, please send through an email to pbs@rubixsupport.com.au
