Why NDIS Registration Matters

Registration is not just a badge. Furthermore, it is not simply a box to tick. Choosing an NDIS Registered Provider in Melbourne means choosing a provider held to an independent standard — one that requires ongoing demonstration of quality, not just a promise of it.

At Rubix Support, registration has been part of how we operate from day one. Consequently, it is not something we pursued later, and not something we take lightly.

Registered Since 2017 — and That’s a Deliberate Choice

Since 2017, Rubix Support has been an established NDIS Registered Provider in Melbourne. Furthermore, this hasn’t changed — and that consistency is intentional.

The NDIS sector continues to evolve. Throughout that evolution, however, we have remained consistent in one important thing: holding ourselves accountable to a recognised, independent standard, while continuously improving how we support people.

What NDIS Registration Actually Means

Being an NDIS Registered Provider means we are assessed against independent standards — not just our own. As a result, there is a level of transparency built into everything we do.

We are not simply saying we do things well. Instead, we are required to demonstrate it and have that performance independently assessed. For the people we support and their families, that distinction matters.

Proudly supporting NDIS participants since 2017.

Why Registration Matters for the Services We Deliver

For some services, NDIS registration is not optional — it is a requirement.

As a provider of Positive Behaviour Support, Behaviour Support Implementation and Therapy Supports, registration is mandatory. Consequently, providers who deliver these services without registration are not operating within the NDIS framework as it requires.

Furthermore, new registration requirements are emerging — particularly across in-home and living supports such as Supported Independent Living (SIL). As a result, more providers will be required to become registered than ever before. For Rubix Support as an NDIS Registered Provider in Melbourne, however, this has always been our standard. Nothing changes.

Registration Alone Doesn’t Guarantee Great Support

The NDIS — and the audit process that underpins it — is not a perfect system.

There are excellent registered providers. There are also excellent unregistered providers. And unfortunately, there are poor examples on both sides. Therefore, registration on its own does not guarantee quality support.

So while it matters — it is only part of the picture. For us, consequently, it is not simply about meeting a minimum requirement. It is about meeting it well, and going further.

At the End of the Day, Support Is Delivered by People

That is why we focus heavily on who we hire.

We look for people who care, who take responsibility, and who do the right thing — even when no one is watching. Additionally, we invest in their development, support their growth and hold them to the same standards we hold ourselves.

Registration brings structure, transparency and external accountability. Our people, however, are what bring it to life.
