  • Are passionate about the rights of people with a disability

  • Have a person-centred and rights-focused approach: the needs, support and dignity of the individual is central to their practice

  • Can demonstrate a practical knowledge of both the National Disability Insurance Scheme, Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities and the Disability Act 2006

  • Have the ability to both work collaboratively within a team environment and autonomously when representing Rubix Support

  • Bring a variety of experiences supporting individuals who may present with complex behaviour

  • Hold a variety of relevant qualification ranging from Certificate IV in Disability to Masters in Social Work, Psychology and all in between (relevant to their role)

  • Recognise and demonstrate confidentiality obligations and diversity awareness

  • Are committed to working in keeping with an individual’s plans – their goals and aspirations, person centered plans, and behaviour support plans

  • Have a current driver’s licence and vehicle

  • Hold a clear NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Hold and maintain mandatory requirements that are relevant to their role, such as Level 2 First Aid and CPR certification

STRINGENT SCREENING

Rubix Support operates a stringent safety screening procedure for all preferred candidates across Rubix Support, where candidates need to:

  • Provide a clear NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Provide a current Working with Children’s Check

  • Provide Two Professional References to be contacted

  • An identity check
