Rubix Support’s Sexuality and Relationship Education (SRE) service empowers people with disability to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to build safe, respectful and meaningful relationships. We believe that everyone — regardless of disability, age, gender identity or cultural background — has the right to understand their body, their feelings and their boundaries, and to express themselves in ways that support dignity, safety and genuine wellbeing.
Our Sexuality and Relationship Education for people with disability in Melbourne is delivered by qualifiededucators who tailor every session to the individual — making learning accessible, inclusive, age-appropriate and genuinely fun.
Who Delivers Our Sexuality and Relationship Education?
What sets Rubix Support apart from other providers is the calibre and dual expertise of our educators.
All of our Sexuality and Relationship Educators (SRE) are registered Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioners and bring a diverse range of professional qualifications, skills and lived experience. These include backgrounds in Developmental Education, teaching, allied health, disability services and behaviour support.
This combination of educational expertise and clinical experience means our team can:
- Tailor learning to each person’s age, communication style, goals and preferences
- Deliver education in a way that is accessible and inclusive for people with intellectual disability, complex behaviours or additional support needs
- Adapt sessions to suit different learning styles, cultural considerations and support requirements
- Work collaboratively with families, carers and support workers to extend learning beyond the session
This is not a generic program. Every engagement is built around the individual to ensure education is safe, respectful and meaningful.

Our Approach to Sexuality and Relationship Education
Rubix Support uses the Understanding Sexuality Assessment to evaluate a person’s current knowledge of sexuality and intimacy before sessions begin. This helps our educators understand where to start, what to focus on, and how to structure a program that meets each participant’s needs and NDIS goals.
Our team is also actively contributing to the review and updates of the Assessment of Sexual Knowledge (ASK) tool, reflecting our genuine commitment to improving sector-wide standards in Sexuality and Relationship Education for people with disability.
